International Workshop on Advances in Assessment and Modeling of Earthquake Loss
International Workshop on Advances in Assessment and Modeling of Earthquake Loss, which is organized by the TCIP, will bring the insurance industry players, international reinsurance and modeling companies, government agencies and universities on November 4–5, 2019 in Istanbul.
The workshop will include country-specific practices in loss assessment following an earthquake and the latest developments in earthquake risk modeling. It will be hosted by numerous experts from all over the world, including those from Japan, Italy and New Zealand.
The loss modeling and assessment method will be presented during the workshop. It was developed by TCIP to forecast possible damages after a potential Istanbul earthquake and will detail the new pricing methodology, which was revised in accordance with the earthquake hazard map.
All discussions and country case examples will be compiled into a book after the event and will form a reliable reference in earthquake loss and risk management.
